MAXIM GORKIY off Lisbon 8 May 2006

  1. These photos were taken from the TRANSTEJO ferry MARVILA, a former HADAG ferry from Hamburg built in 1956 as VOLKSDORF.
    The MAXIM GORKIY had to anchor in the river because there were not enough berths for all the cruise ships calling in Lisbon on that particular day. So the GORKY lay at anchor off Trafaria, a small resort on the south bank of the river in front of Algés. The passengers were ferried ashore by the ship's tenders and landed near the TS tower at Algés.
